What do we know about gameplay in For The King 2?

For The King 2 kicks off from where the previous title ends, with King Bronner being dead and the tyrannical Queensquard patrolling the lands of Fahrul.

You must build up a crew and take on the Queensguard through turn-based grid battles. Tactical manoeuvres are a key part of combat, and you’ll need to build up your crew to take advantage of various abilities and stats.

The game will feature procedurally generated maps and diverse character customisation to provide a unique experience for players – and is set to be three times larger than the original game.

This includes new combat mechanics, biomes to explore, item customisation, loot, events and an updated art style.

As with the previous title, the game is fully entrenched in high-fantasy roots and offers players either a solo experience or the chance to play with up to four friends.

Although the game will continue the story set out from the original title, the game looks accessible to new players also with a focus on the combat and roguelike loot drops.
