Fatboy Slim’s career began a few years before he was 18 and was the lead vocalist in Disque Attack. At the University, he began to develop his skills in DJing, often practicing on the thriving Brighton club scene under the stage name DJ Quentox.
In 1985, he joined the band The Housemartins as the bassist and soon released the hit single Happy Hour followed by two albums London 0 Hull 4 and The People Who Grinned Themselves to Death.
The album peaked in the Top 10 of the UK Albums Chart and reached number one just before Christmas 1986 with the single Caravan of Love.
