The time is near for the Team of the Group stage to be released in EA FC 24, and we’ve got a whole bunch of our own predictions and a full explanation of the TOTGS promo if anyone out there is confused.
The group stages of the UCL, EL, and UECL have been full of drama, giving us plenty of late dramatics and heroic performances across the board. There’s no better way to celebrate this in the game than with a squad of the best players, and you can find out who we think will be selected with our full predictions below.
TOTGS player predictions
Here are our predictions for the full Team of the Group Stage squad in Ultimate Team, which features mostly UCL players with a handful of EL and UECL cards:

EA might not opt for quite as large of a squad, but these are the players that we think are most likely to be selected – limited to one player per team as promos historically dictate.
Players like Rodrygo, Gabriel Jesus, Antoine Griezmann, Harry Kane, and Erling Haaland all, unfortunately, miss out in our predictions due to the one-per-club rule, but who knows what the final outcome will be as there are often surprise picks that many players didn’t see coming.
EA FC 24 Team of the Group Stage promo explained
Team of the Group Stage (or TOTGS) is a squad composed of players who have performed exceptionally during their team’s Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League group stage period.
These are entirely performance-based cards that are exclusively earned through each player’s own real-life accolades, so don’t expect a player that has flopped or not played just because they’re meta.
Furthermore, unlike RTTK (or future RTTF) cards, these players are not live cards and cannot upgrade with any further progression in the competition. That should mean that they’re boosted a little more as compensation, but we shall have to wait and see.
