Since TOTY, the promos in EA FC 24 have not slowed down in quality, with the next promo arriving in the game being the hotly anticipated Fantasy promo. This promo was first introduced in FIFA 22 and is one of the live events where players will improve depending on how well their team performs.
Below, I’ll not only outline how the promo works but also when it will be released in the game as well as having a pop at some predictions. In between now and the release of the squad, there will certainly be some leaks which I’ll add in at the time – so make sure you check back in regularly to see who will be arriving.
When will the Fantasy promo be released in EA FC 24?
The Fantasy promo will arrive on Friday, February 23, 2024.
Like all promos that are released in EA FC, the cards will drop at 6 PM GMT followed by SBCs released throughout the event with more players and opportunities to earn them.
It’s still not known how long the promo will last, but last year it was two weeks long – so I expect the same again this time around.

Unlike the Future Stars promo, this isn’t an easy promo to predict because there is no theme. But, if it’s anything like last year, this will be the first promo of 2024 to include Hero cards.
Keeping that in mind, here’s who I think will feature this time around:

- Hidetoshi Nakata (Hero/Japan)
- Ivan Cordoba (Hero/Italy)
- Jay-Jay Okocha (Hero/Nigeria)
- Peter Crouch (Hero/England)
- Malo Gusto (Chelsea/France)
- Lucas Paqueta (West Ham/Brazil)
- Benjamin Pavard (Inter Milan/France)
- Eric Dier (Bayern Munich/England)
- Achraf Hakimi (PSG/Morocco)
- Nikita Parris (Manchester United/England)
- Charles De Ketelaere (Atalanta/Belgium)
- Borja Iglesias (Real Betis/Spain)
- Phil Foden (Manchester City/England)
With my predictions, I’ve tried to choose players who haven’t had many specials so far, so their inclusion would be a lot more feasible. When it comes to the Hero cards, only a few have not been included in any squads, so it made it a bit easier to predict.
It may be a bit ambitious, but a Peter Crouch that is useable would be a great asset to any team and one I would be itching to get my hands on.
How the Fantasy promo works
Fantasy cards will get upgrades depending on how well their team performs during their next four matches. Every year so far, the upgrade route has differed slightly but the result is always the same and that is the player getting a few extra ratings.
Fortunately, the exact upgrade path has already leaked, but like with all leaks take them with a pinch of salt as they’re not guaranteed. The leaked upgrade path is:
- A plus one for attackers/midfielders getting a goal or assist in the next four games / for defenders this will be a clean sheet
- A plus one if the club wins two out of the next four matches
- A plus one if the player makes three appearances in the next four matches
- A plus one if the club scores 11 or more goals in the next four matches
If this upgrade path is to be believed, I can’t help but notice how much harder it will be for players to get upgrades this year than in the past. It also feels like a missed opportunity for the cards to not get extra PlayStyles after receiving upgrades.
