Drew Griffin Wife: Meet Margot Griffin: Drew Griffin was an American journalist born in 1962. He was known for his work at the American cable news channel, CNN.
Drew Griffin studied communications at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
He began his journalism career working in Illinois as an investigative reporter for CBS 2 News in Los Angeles for 10 years before joining CNN in May 2004.

In 2005, Drew Griffin covered the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina where he reported about the looting by some New Orleans police officers which led to a police investigation.
The astute journalist also reported stories about nursing home deaths after Katrina for which he (Griffin) along with CNN won a Peabody award for their Hurricane Katrina coverage.
The award-winning journalist, Drew Griffin died from cancer at his home on December 17, 2022, at the age of 60. His family is yet to announce his final funeral arrangements.
