On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, DJ tWitch’s wife, Allison Holker, reported to the police that his husband had left home without his car. A few hours later, he was reported dead.

According to several online reports, DJ tWitch died by suicide in a Los Angeles hotel from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He died at the age of 40. His family is yet to announce his final funeral arrangement.

In 2003, DJ tWitch was a semifinalist on MTV’s The Wade Robson Project and a runner-up in the television talent competition Star Search. He also choreographed for South Korean pop/R&B singer Seven and helped train other YG Entertainment artists like Big Bang.

In 2007, DJ tWitch was a flamboyant dancer in Blades of Glory and a Maybelle’s Store Dancer in Hairspray. In the same year, he auditioned for Season 3 of So You Think You Can Dance but was not selected to be in the Top Twenty.

DJ tWitch returned to audition again in Season 4 in 2008, where he was not only selected to compete in the Top 20 but placed runner-up in the competition after fellow hip-hop dancer Joshua Allen. In season 5, he returned again and was one of the 11 “All-Stars” for season 7.

Twitch was the Team Captain for “Team Street” in Season 12 of So You Think You Can Dance. He was announced as a permanent judge for the 17th season in 2022. After competing in So You Think You Can Dance, he went on to teach at South County Classical Ballet with fellow finalist Katee Shean.
