White led the Buccaneers in tackles in the NFC Championship game against the Green Bay Packers, finishing with 15 (nine solo) and recovering a fumble that teammate Jordan Whitehead had caused. The Buccaneers won 31-26 to proceed to the Super Bowl LV.

The Buccaneers chose to execute White’s fifth-year option on April 27, 2022. White won NFC Defensive Player of the Week in Week 10 after compiling nine tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble, and a recovery in a 21-16 victory over the Seahawks.
