The roles that Masterson is best known for playing are Jameson “Rooster” Bennett in The Ranch (2016–2018), Milo Foster in Men at Work (2012–2014), and Steven Hyde in That ’70s Show (1998–2006). He was found guilty of two of the three counts of forceful rape in May 2023, with the jury deadlocked on the third. Masterson began working as a child model at the age of four, and by the time he was five, he had appeared in both magazine articles and television ads. Masterson started performing at the age of eight and appeared in musicals. By the time he reached adolescence, his singing voice had “disappeared”. He had been in more than 100 commercials by the time he was 16; these included ones for Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, Hardee’s, Hostess, Tang, and Clearasil.
Early in the 1990s, Masterson appeared in Beethoven’s 2nd and played the lead role of Justin in Cybill. According to a Variety story, former “That ’70s Show” actor Danny Masterson was found guilty of two counts of rape on Wednesday. The site added that the jury was unable to find the defendant guilty of a third accusation of rape. It was Masterson’s second rape trial; the first trial had ended in a mistrial last November because a different jury was unable to reach a majority verdict. Following the verdict, the actor was brought into custody and is currently awaiting sentencing. He could be imprisoned for 30 years to life.
