Organizers of the annual American award show, BET Awards on Wednesday, 1st June, 2022 unveiled nominations for the 2022 edition.
Ahead of the award ceremony which has been scheduled for Monday, June 27 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, organizers have released the full list of performers at the upcoming event.
The prestigious award show will see the like of Fireboy DML, Lizzo, Joey BadaSS, Latto, Chloe, Babyface, Ella Mai, Giveon, Kirk Franklin, Muni Long, Maverick City Music, Roddy Ricch, Jack Harlow and Chance The Rapper grace the stage.
Fireboy DML would be representing Africa on the biggest stage as he will be performing for the first time the BET stage but his second appearance at the ceremony. The YBNL Nation act, was nominated for the Best International Act alongside Tems, Dave, Little Simz, Fally Ipupa and others.

Meanwhile; Renowned Nigerian acts, Burna Boy, Adekunle Gold and Spinall have been confirmed as part of the performers for the 2022 Afropunk Festival.
In an official announcement made on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 via Afropunk’s official and verified Instagram page, Grammy award winning singer, Burna Boy, multifaceted act, Adekunle Gold and renowned disc jockey, Spinall will grace the event.
The 2022 AfroPunk Festival happens to be a two day event. The event begins on Saturday, September 10 and ends on Sunday, 11th September 2022 at the Commodore Barry Park in Brooklyn, New York.
Other performers include Isaiah Rashad, Freddie Gibbs, Mick Jenkins, Jany Green, Alex Mali, Yamba Band, Devin Tracy, Cruza, Pawpaw Rod, Pink Siifu, KahLQ, Ambre, among others. See flyer below.
