DeSantis anchored PGA Tour Today and On The Tee on the Golf Channel early in her career. She worked as an anchor and local newscaster for Jacksonville, Florida’s WJXT.

Casey DeSantis was named “Stateswoman of the Year” by the Republican Party of Sarasota in 2023. Her husband, Ron DeSantis, and other national officeholders had previously received this accolade. She was the first female recipient of the honor.
DeSantis advises her husband’s bid for president in 2024. Her role in advising her husband on policy and media strategy has been reported by The New York Times.
Following her acceptance of the Stateswoman of the Year award, rumors began to circulate that Casey DeSantis might run for governor of Florida in 2026. Puck did, however, note that a DeSantis campaign spokesman disputed her desire to seek office.
