Can you fix bridges in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has a few features that set it apart from other open-world action role-playing games, with traversal of the map being a defining factor that shapes gameplay.

For example, if you or an enemy manage to destroy a bridge in a key area, you’ll be forced to take a longer route, which can take you away from questing or levelling your Vocation. I even failed a timed quest at one point due to this exact thing happening.

So, if such a situation arises, it’s worth knowing if there is a way for you to fix bridges in the game.

Can you fix bridges?

While you cannot fix bridges after they’ve been broken, they’ll always be automatically repaired after a few days. After some testing, I’ve found that bridges tend to be repaired after two or three in-game days, but you’ll need to leave the area completely for the work to take place.

Sleeping at an inn, your player house, or just exploring in a completely different location for a few days will be sufficient enough, and once you return the bridge will be up and running again.

It’s worth noting this only goes for the wooden bridges you’ll find, as it doesn’t seem like stone bridges can be broken – even though a number of them are destroyed by default in the world.

Aside from seeing the bridge with your own eyes, you’ll also find notes next to recently repaired bridges from the workers who are annoyed about having to constantly fix them.
