Can you bunny hop in MW3 Beta?

Everyone loves that little bit of an advantage that suits their playstyle, and MW3 bunny hopping is no different.

Whether you’re a sentinel sniper wanting to find the smallest gaps in the windows to send deadly bolts at your foes, or you’re an SMG main who needs slide cancelling to evade such gunfire, advanced movement can be the defining difference between success and failure in the game.

But for those who love playing aggressively with a gun in hand and turf beneath your feet, one question remains about the advanced movement: can you bunny hop in MW3?

It is possible to bunny hop in Modern Warfare 3, but just not quite to the extent that Call of Duty players have become used to.

In games gone by, bunny hopping has been crucial to players who want to evade gunfire by moving their Operator vertically, which also manipulates the damage portfolio of where you’re being hit – a bullet to the leg is much less deadly than a bullet to the head.

But in Modern Warfare 3, bunny hopping has changed, and you won’t be able to manipulate this jumping mechanics without going into Tac Stance.

How to bunny hop in MW3

So far, Modern Warfare 3 players have found only one way to bunny hop, and that’s by activating Tac Stance. There is now a penalty between the first and second jump for anyone sprinting, running, or walking without using the new method.

This means that you will have to have your toggle switched on – not just activate it mid-slide – and won’t be able to ADS at the same time.

But, the mechanic has stayed the same. Once you’ve toggled Tac Stance, all you’ll need to do is run in a sprint, aim down your sight, jump, and jump again once you land, and your momentum will carry on through.

Tac Stance also doesn’t really work at long distances for assault rifles, where bunny hopping would usually benefit the most, meaning it is now more of a hip-fire mechanic that works best for SMGs.

That’s all you need to know about how to bunny hop in MW3, so now all that is left for you to do is pair it with a nice SMG such as this MW3 Striker loadout…
