Can you breed animals in LEGO Fortnite?

At the time of writing, no, you cannot breed animals in LEGO Fortnite. There are plenty of animals found out in the wild, so once you’ve established your village, it may be worth creating a pen of sorts to hold all your animals in.

While there are only cows, sheep and chickens at the moment, LEGO Fortnite looks like it’s here to stay, so you never know, we may be seeing more animals in future updates.

What do animals do in LEGO Fortnite?

While you can certainly kill most animals for crafting items and food resources in LEGO Fortnite, I find that keeping them around and petting them nicely now again yields much better rewards (and doesn’t make you feel so guilty).

Alongside enemy animals like wolves and spiders, there are plenty of friendly animals that will provide you with unique resources, as shown in the image above. For example, by petting cows, you’ll get a carton of milk, chickens will give you eggs and various sheep will provide you with different types of wool.
