The PAYDAY 3 technical test will be taking place between August 2, 2023, to August 7, 2023, giving players six days – including a whole weekend – to try out the game.
This PAYDAY 3 beta will only be available for the PC (via Steam) and Xbox Series X|S platforms, meaning PlayStation players are out of luck.

There are two ways to get into the PAYDAY 3 technical test, which are different depending on your platform of choice.
For Steam, to access the PAYDAY 3 beta, you will need to do the following:
- Head to the game’s store page
- Scroll down and find the section that says ‘Join the PAYDAY 3 Playtest’
- Select ‘Request Access’
- In the new window, click the same button
- A new pop-up will say ‘Request submitted’ to confirm your sign-up
For Xbox players looking to access the PAYDAY 3 technical test, the process is slightly different. Here’s what you’ll want to do:
- Download the Xbox Insider Hub app from the store
- Load the app up
- Navigate to the ‘Previews’ section
- Select ‘PAYDAY 3’, and you will be signed up
