For starters, you’ll want to equip the ZLR Talon 5 muzzle for increased damage range, bullet velocity, recoil smoothness, and of course, sound suppression. Make sure to follow this up with the KAS-10 584MM barrel, which will give you better ADS time for snapping onto enemies and an extra boost of movement speed.
The Kastov 762’s lethal TTK means the gun has a lot of kickback, so running the FTAC Ripper 56 as an underbarrel is a must for recoil stabilisation.
While optics always come down to preference, the Aim-OP V4 is a top-tier choice for laser-beaming foes from long distances.
Finally, round off the Kastov 762 loadout with the 40-round Mag to ensure you never run out of ammo and can kill multiple opponents without needing to reload.

In terms of perks, we recommend going with Overkill as it gives you access to a second primary weapon. This is essential with the Kastov 762 as the gun is built for mid to long-range, so having a meta SMG is invaluable.
Next, Battle Hardened is brilliant for shrugging off stuns and flashes if you want to push an enemy aggressively to chase down a kill. After that, Fast Hands is a top-tier choice, as it allows you to switch to your secondary during intense skirmishes almost instantly.
For your Ultimate perk, High Alert is incredibly strong for avoiding danger before it’s too late.
Finally, a Grenade in the lethal slot will always be useful for putting pressure on foes and a Stun Grenade is amazing for catching enemies off-guard.

In order to unlock the Kastov 762 in Warzone 2 you’ll need to reach rank 23. This shouldn’t take long at all, especially if you perform well in multiple WZ2 matches.
Remember, you can also jump into MW2 multiplayer to unlock weapons if you want to level up quicker with the fast-paced matches.

If the Kastov 762 has a little too much recoil for your taste or just doesn’t fit your style of play, then the ISO Hemlock may be a better option in the current meta.
While the trusty AR did get hit with nerfs, it remains a powerful choice and is far easier to use than the Kastov 762 if you struggle to control kickback.
Although you do sacrifice some damage output with the Hemlock, it’s a consistent AR that will perform well on both Al Mazrah and Vondel.
