Who is Bayron Biswas ?
A politician and social worker of Indian and Bengali descent, Bayron Biswas represents Sagardighi in Murshidabad as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. He is a member of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), and prior to doing so, he was the only Indian National Congress MLA in West Bengal. In the Sagardighi bypoll of 2023, he outperformed the Trinamool Congress candidate by 22,986 votes with support from the CPI(M)-led Left Front. On May 29, 2023, he became a TMC member.

West Bengal’s Murshidabad is where Bayron resides, and his father is a merchant and social worker. In Murshidabad, her father is the owner of numerous bidi manufacturers and nursing homes. His father used to provide assistance to the villagers. He personally assisted those in need by making donations in a variety of areas. Although his father had never been in politics, he did not believe that he would ever enter the field because he had a preference for Congress.
Subrata Saha, a candidate for the Trinamool Congress, won the West Bengal ministry and defeated the opposition BJP candidate there by almost 50,000 votes in the 2021 assembly elections. However, MLA and minister Subrata Saha unexpectedly passed away on December 29, 2022, from a heart attack.
When the election for his empty seat in the Left Congress was held, Bayron Biswas unexpectedly won. In the Sagardighi assembly elections, Dilip Saha ran for the BJP, while Debashish Banerjee represented Trinamool. The election results show that BJP candidate Dilip Saha received (20211) votes, Trinamool Congress candidate Debashish Banerjee received (49607) votes, and candidate Bayron Biswas who was backed by the Dam Congress received (70603) votes.
Sagardighi Bayron Biswas, a Congress MLA, formally merged with the Trinamool Congress on May 29. A re-election was held in 2023 following the passing of the Trinamool Congress’ Sagardighi MLA, and Bayron Biswas, who was supported by the National Congress, was the only Congress candidate to win.
