Bam Adebayo bio-American basketball player, Edrice Femi “Bam” Adebayo was born on July 18th, 1997 in Newark, New Jersey.

When Adebayo was seven years old, his mother and he relocated to North Carolina. He was a junior at Pinetown, North Carolina’s Northside High School, where he averaged 32.2 points and 21 rebounds per game.

Together with fellow five-star 2016 recruit Dennis Smith Jr., Adebayo joined his Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) team, Team Loaded North Carolina, over the summer. On the Adidas Uprising Circuit, he had a game average of 15.0 points and 10 rebounds.

Adebayo participated in the NBPA Top 100 Camp later that summer and was honored as MVP in the 2015 Under Armour Elite 24 match.

He transferred to High Point Christian Academy in High Point, North Carolina, following his junior year at Northside. Adebayo had 22 points and 17 rebounds in his first game of the year as his team defeated New Garden Friends School 81-39.

Adebayo led the Cougars to an NCISAA state final appearance as a senior, averaging 18.9 points per game, 13.0 rebounds per game, 1.4 blocks per game, and 1.5 assists per game.

The 2016 Mr. Basketball for North Carolina title went to Adebayo. He participated in the Jordan Brand Classic and the 2016 McDonald’s All-American Game in January.

Adebayo and the Heat agreed to a five-year contract extension on November 28, 2020. In a 128-124 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on January 23, 2021, Adebayo recorded a career-high 41 points and nine assists.
