Young Nigerian musician, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe who is known as Ayra Starr has educated social media users on the meaning of her name.
She made this known in a recent post she made on her verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter.

To explain her name, she used the pidgin word ‘SABI’ which means ‘to know’ or ‘to understand’. Translating what she wrote she meant that she really understands girls or knows girls.

Making the post, she wrote;
“Ayra Starr sabi girl !!!!”
Although she is just 19 years, she has really garnered an overwhelming number of fans less than two years after becoming a star.
She was born in Cotonou, and she began a fashion career at the age of 16 with Quove Model Management before deciding to pursue music.
Her parents are from Kwara State and her family moved frequently during her high school years because of her father’s business, and as a result, she had a hard time forming close friends.
