Armored Core 6 devs on sharing loadouts with friends

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is almost here, with the latest action game from legendary developer From Software taking us to the desolate planet of Rubicon to fight in a giant mech suit.

However, as we found out the hard way in our hands-on preview, the game is shaping up to be pretty hard, which means you’ll probably want all the help you can get.

While there’s no direct co-op to help you even the odds, Armored Core 6 director Masaru Yamamura revealed that players can ask the game’s community for help.

Armored Core 6 will offer load sharing for your best mechanical builds

Speaking as part of a larger group interview, Yamamura revealed that players will be able to upload and share their most creative mech builds, with a custom ID system for sharing the tools of the mercenary trade.

“In fact, you can create a custom ID for your own AC data for your current loadout, and you can easily share this in-game with other players,” Yamamura explained.

“Hopefully this will spark a discussion in the community as well.”

It feels like an ideal addition for those scouring the Armored Core subreddit looking for new tactics to try.

“If players are having trouble with a specific quest or boss, they can ask for help and someone else can recommend their build and upload their custom ID,” Yamamura said, noting the building of a sense of community by tackling some of Armored Core 6’s toughest battles.
