There is not much information available regarding the wife of the Motivational speaker.
All what is known about her is that , she was his first wife. He met her in 1974 at Chico State when he attended a dance at the Newman Center after a football game. Trina was a nursing student from Lompoc, CA. She was beautiful and one of the only woman who gave Rigsby their phone number. He explained that he was broke and overweight but Trina still loved him.
Trina and his father were very close. His father considered Trina his daughter instead of his daughter-in-law. His father helped him overcome his wife’s death. Dr. Rigsby’s father was a 3rd grade dropout but he gave him some of the best advice of his life: “You keep standing.”
As the new couple was just at the beginning of their happy marital life, it just turned upside down as it was later realized that Trina had cancer. Unfortunately, she passed away in 1996 after a fight with breast cancer for six years.
The couple however, has two children together before her demise though.
