About Stevie Nicks Personal Life: Her husband and children

Stevie Nicks, birthed as Stephanie Lynn Nicks (born May 26, 1948) is a singer, songwriter, and producer best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist.

Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac in 1975, after beginning her career as a pair with her then-boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham, releasing the album Buckingham Nicks to little success. Rumors, the band’s second album with Nicks, went platinum in the United States and became one of the best-selling albums of all time.

While still a member of Fleetwood Mac, Nicks launched her solo career in 1981, releasing the studio album Bella Donna, which topped the Billboard 200 and went multiplatinum. She has eight studio solo albums and seven studio albums with Fleetwood Mac, selling a total of 65 million certified copies in the United States alone.

Who is Stevie Nicks married to?

Nicks was romantically related to Lindsey Buckingham from 1966 to 1976, Mick Fleetwood temporarily in 1977, Eagles drummer/vocalist Don Henley in the late 1970s, and Eagles songwriter J.D. Souther briefly. Nicks had an abortion in 1979 after becoming pregnant by Henley.

Kim Anderson, the widower of Nicks’ best friend Robin Anderson, was her only marriage. They married in 1983, just after Robin Anderson passed away from leukemia and while the Bella Donna album was at the top of the charts. “I was determined to take care of [Robin’s] baby, so I said to Kim, ‘I don’t know, I guess we should just get married.’” Nicks and Anderson divorced after only three months: “And so we got married three months after she died, and it was a terrible, terrible mistake. We didn’t get married because we were in love, we got married because we were grieving and it was the only way that we could feel like we were doing anything.”

Years after the divorce, she reconnected with her stepson when he was a teenager, paying for his college education, and she has kept in touch with him ever since. In an interview with The Guardian in 2020, Nicks stated that his daughter, Robin, named after his late mother, refers to Nicks as “Grandma Stevie.”

She met Jimmy Iovine, who produced Bella Donna, in 1980-81, and Eagles and James Gang guitarist Joe Walsh, whom she referred to in 2007 as one of her greatest loves, in 1983-1986, but the couple was unable to maintain their relationship due to shared drug misuse. In 1984, Nicks toured with Walsh and penned the song “Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You?” about Walsh’s late daughter.

Nicks lived in Paradise Valley, Arizona, a Phoenix suburb, until July 2007, in a house she built in 1981 and shared with her brother, Christopher Nicks, his wife, Lori Perry-Nicks, and their daughter, Jessica, her niece.

How many children does Stevie Nicks owns?

Nicks has stated that she chose not to have children because of her demanding work and desire to pursue her art wherever it may lead her: “My mission maybe wasn’t to be a mom and a wife; maybe my particular mission was to write songs to make moms and wives feel better.”

“I have a lot of kids,” she adds of her niece, godchildren, former stepson, and extended family. In any case, being the wacky auntie is a lot more fun than being the mom.”

Nicks has kept a journal almost every day since she joined Fleetwood Mac. “I like to tell all my fairy goddaughters and my niece that when I’m gone, they can sit on the floor and go through all these journals, walk through my life, and smell the gardenia perfume on the pages,” she says. They can have who I was in their hands.”

“I wouldn’t write a book unless I could tell the truth, and say all the people in it are represented correctly,” she says of a book based on her life. If I’m going to talk about everyone in my life, I need to be old enough, and they need to be old enough, for no one to care… I would never write a book about the negative aspects of my life. I’d largely enjoy the wonderful portions, of which there were plenty.
